About Experience and Style

Q: How would you describe your photography style?

A: My photography style is a combination of documentary-style storytelling, candid moments, and posed portraits. I utilize both natural light and advanced lighting techniques with flash to create timeless and visually stunning images

Q: How long have you been photographing weddings? How many weddings have you shot?

A: I have been a professional wedding photographer for 8 years and have successfully photographed over 200 weddings. My experience allows me to anticipate key moments and deliver exceptional results.

Q: Can we see full galleries from a few recent weddings?

A: Absolutely! I’d be happy to share full galleries from recent weddings as well as some from my portfolio. This will give you a better idea of my consistent style, quality, and storytelling approach.

Q: Have you photographed at our venue before?

A: If you let me know the name of your venue, I’ll confirm whether I’ve photographed there before. Even if I haven’t, I always arrive early on the wedding day to scout the location, evaluate the lighting conditions, and plan the best angles and shots to make the most of your venue.

Q: Do you work with a second photographer? Is it included in the package?

A: I typically work as the primary photographer, but I can arrange for a second photographer if needed. This service can be added to your package for an additional fee. A second shooter ensures we capture multiple angles and moments throughout the day.

About Packages and Deliverables
Q: What is included in your wedding photography package(s)?

A: My wedding photography packages are customizable to suit your needs. The basic package includes my hours of coverage, a specific number of professionally edited photos, an online photo gallery, and a hard copy of your wedding photos.

Additional options, such as custom albums and prints, are available for an extra fee. For example, with 6 hours of coverage, you can expect approximately 350-400 edited photos, depending on the guest count and specific events like a money dance. I’m happy to discuss your vision and customize a package to offer the best value for your wedding day.

Q: How many edited photos can we expect to receive?

A: The number of edited photos depends on your chosen coverage hours, guest count, and events like a money dance. As a general estimate:

*With 6 hours of coverage and a guest count of 50-100, you can expect 350-400+ edited photos.

*With 8 hours of coverage, you’ll receive 500+ edited photos.

I aim to capture a variety of candid, posed, and detail shots to tell the full story of your wedding day.

Q: What’s your turnaround time for delivering the photos?

A: My standard turnaround time is 90-150 days after the wedding. However, within 10 days after your wedding, you’ll receive a first batch of 50-80+ edited photos in your online photo gallery. I will then gradually upload more photos over the following weeks, ensuring you can enjoy sneak peeks while I finalize the full gallery.

A: Do you offer engagement sessions or other pre-wedding shoots?

A: Yes, I offer engagement sessions and other pre-wedding photoshoots. I can create a package that includes an engagement session to capture your love story before the big day.

Q: Will we have rights to the photos? Can we print and share them online?

A: While the copyright remains with me as the photographer, you will have full rights to print, store, and share your photos on social media or with family and friends.

Q: How are the photos delivered?

A: Your wedding photos will be delivered in two formats:

1) An online photo gallery where all your professionally edited photos will be uploaded.

2) A flash drive with your wedding photos, presented in a beautiful custom case for safe keeping.

Q: Do you retouch/edit the photos? To what extent?

A: Yes, I provide basic retouching for all photos, including exposure correction, sharpening, distraction removal, and line corrections. If you request special retouching—such as fixing facial imperfections—I can do this for a select number of photos. If you’d like special retouching for all photos, it can be done for an additional fee, but please note that this is time-consuming work and may delay the delivery timeline.

About Pricing and Logistics

Q: What is your pricing structure, and are there any hidden fees?

A: My pricing is transparent and straightforward, with no hidden fees. The cost is based on the hours of coverage, and a traveling fee may apply for out-of-town weddings. I often include extras like an engagement session in package offers. Additional options such as albums or prints are available if requested. Since every wedding is unique, it’s important for us to discuss your specific needs so I can create a customized package tailored to your special day.

Q: How much is the deposit, and when is the balance due?

A: The deposit is typically 40-50% of the total price, but I’m flexible and can work with you on the amount if needed. The remaining balance is due one week before your wedding day.

Q: What happens if you’re sick or unable to shoot our wedding?

A: In the unlikely event that I cannot perform my services; I will arrange for a trusted second photographer to cover your wedding day seamlessly.

Q: Do you charge for travel or accommodation if the wedding is out of town?

A: Since 99% of my weddings are out of town, a traveling fee is included in my pricing. However, I do not charge for overnight accommodations, as I typically do not stay at hotels.

Q: How many hours of coverage do we get? Can we add extra time if needed?

A: My minimum coverage is 4 hours, but I can provide as many hours as you need. If you realize during the wedding that you need extra time, I can easily add it on the fly for an additional fee. It’s helpful to discuss your timeline in advance so I can plan accordingly.

Q: Do you carry backup equipment and have backups of the photos?

A: Yes, I always carry two professional cameras to ensure I’m prepared for any equipment issues. If one camera fails, the second will allow me to continue shooting without interruption. Additionally, I back up all your photos to safeguard your memories.

About the Wedding Day
Q: How do you handle group and family portraits? Can we give you a list?

A: Family and group portraits can sometimes get hectic, especially on a busy wedding day. I recommend that you prepare a list of family groupings in advance and assign a trusted coordinator—such as a family member or a friend—to help organize people for the photos. This way, you can focus on enjoying the moment, smiling naturally, while I focus on capturing the perfect shots.

Q: What is your process on the wedding day? How do you work with other vendors?

A: On your wedding day, I will arrive early at the venue to scout the location, check the lighting conditions, and plan the best spots for photos. I introduce myself to key vendors like the venue manager, DJ, and wedding coordinator so we can work as a team. Clear communication ensures that everything runs smoothly, and I’m able to document your day without any disruptions.

Q: Will you visit the venue ahead of time or scout the location?

A: If the venue is in my local area, I sometimes visit beforehand to scout the location and lighting. For out-of-town venues, I typically arrive early on the wedding day to thoroughly scout the venue, ensuring I’m fully prepared for your wedding photos.

Q: What happens if there’s bad weather or poor lighting?

A: I always adapt to any situation, including bad weather or poor lighting. If your wedding is outdoors and rain becomes an issue, most venues have a backup plan like an indoor space. I’ve photographed weddings in all kinds of weather, and I’m skilled in using advanced lighting techniques and creative solutions to ensure your photos turn out beautifully, no matter the conditions.

Q: Will you be photographing other weddings on the same day or weekend?

A: No, I will not. Once you book me, I am fully committed to your wedding day. You can count on me to be there, focused entirely on capturing every special moment of your big day.

Personal Connection
Q: Why did you become a wedding photographer?

A: I started as a portrait photographer, focusing on capturing people’s expressions and personalities. When a family member got engaged, they asked me to photograph their wedding. That experience sparked my passion for wedding photography, and it inspired me to start my own wedding photography business.

Q: Can we meet or do a video call before booking?

A: Absolutely! If you live locally, we can meet in person to discuss your wedding plans. Otherwise, I’m happy to arrange a FaceTime or Zoom meeting to answer any questions and ensure we’re a great fit for your big day.

Q: How do you make couples feel comfortable in front of the camera?

A: That’s a great question! I pride myself on being a good communicator and creating a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere during the shoot. As we spend time together, I guide you naturally and help you feel at ease. When you start to enjoy being photographed, that’s when the magic happens and your natural connection shines through.

Q: Do you have reviews or testimonials from past clients?

A: Yes, I do! I’ve built my business through platforms like Thumbtack, where I’ve completed over 160 hires and received 105 5-star reviews. I’m happy to share the review link upon request so you can see what past clients have said about their experience with me.

Q: What sets you apart from other wedding photographers?

A: What sets me apart is my commitment to professionalism in every aspect. I always arrive early, actively listen to my clients, and deliver exactly what they want. I treat the bride, groom, and guests with the utmost respect and ensure that everyone feels valued. Most importantly, I focus on providing an exceptional experience that makes working with me both fun and memorable.
